Memory Theatres and Datalands 2013
Memory Theatres and Datalands, was presented at Anna Leonowens Gallery in November 2013 as culmination of my time as the Isabel and Robert Pope Artist-in-Residence. The work responded to my investigation of ancient and renaissance spatial mnemonics, such as the Method of Loci and Giulio Camillo’s Memory Theatre, and their affinity to contemporary methods of cataloguing information in order to explore the relationship of memory, space and image.
